In this infographic, I am trying to tell a story about how I came into human-centered design field and skills built along the way. Several years ago, I did a part-time reference service counter attendant at my school library, and found that users were unable to access resources they needed due to poor interface design. I started thinking about what I could do to improve this situation. I was lucky to expose myself to usability evaluation and information architecture design, and realized that I was very interested in conducting UX research. I later had a touch on information visualization and interaction design, and found that I had a great passion for design too. I was eager to be a problem solver, so I decided to cultivate myself to be a professional UX designer. During this time, an innovation design internship opened a door of design strategy for me where I know lots of interesting things to explore. Currently, I am improving my graphic design and front-end development skills, aiming to be closer to a full-stack designer.
